this michael coren guy is the best host ever, no interuptions or snide remarks, good stuff.
In years I haven’t heard someone talking with such intellect, depth, clarity, fluency and grasp of the issues. Absolutely captivating. Thanks a mill. A real gem.
Monkton is interesting but I keep worrying that his eyes are going to pop out their sockets.
and we are only this state ‘cos the same bloody “greenies” shut down the nuke industry !! Isnt it time we removed them from the debate

Your welcome, I have read it a few times now and every time find it fascinating. It is true that Mr Brown is not a psychic and it is truly amazing how many people fall victim to this sort of thing… even when it is explained rationally for them. Once again the power of blind faith over evidence um…. wins?

I’ve seen a few of Derren Brown’s TV programmes explaining how he influences the audience to make a particular series of choices. Excellent and amazing.
He repeatedly points out that he is NOT psychic &explains that he get the results by influencing people. (with language & other methods).
This is exactly how we are programmed through our entertainment.
Even though he does this, most people I’ve known to watch him, don’t get it – & somehow still think he is mind-reading.
Weird.

Wow, a minimum of 80 years without electricity and oil, just to reduce the carbon footprint to lower the temperature by 1 Celsius. In fact, it is probably worse because the numbers from the “scientists” are exaggerated.
I wonder how it is possible to feed 7 billion inhabitants without modern agricultural machinery requiring oil.
Well said, we need to have that good old community spirit back. Look after those around you, talk to strangers, smile more often, be curteous etc.
I feel that this community spirit was purposley taken from the people through direct and indirect means over a great length of time. United we stand!
In the past we used to have our neighbors to depend on. Now we have our insurance company. If we relied more upon each other and less upon corporations-the state, we would not have these issues.

Ah good old NLP. For a brief but informative description on Neuro-Linguistic Programming I would highly recommend reading Derren Brown’s book – Tricks of the Mind. A very good read filled with many topics including how people are manipulated into believing things, magic tricks, memory techniques and so on. A top quality read in my opinion
And in the end it all boils down to Economy..

We just need ingenuity, wisdom, and most of all freedom…which is sorely lacking in the general population
All we need to do is search out economic incentives and truly to be wise stewards of our world.
Like even safari type tourism is actually good, because there is an economic incentive to keep out poachers and keep animal populations growing and preserve the natural habitat.
I have also seen some ingenious futuristic designs of cities being built into the organic landscape, providing both a sanctuary for wildlife and people.
We do not have to spend trillions on co2 credits to save us
Their is plenty of economic incentives to keep the rain forests intact. Just take mona vie for instance. Most of these trees were previously being cut down just to harvest to heart of palm people eat like salad. Well, since they discovered a way to preserve the quailities in the acai berry, they created mona vie and now it’s everywhere.
Regardless of the product I like it because it creates economic incentive to keep the forest as it is, wild, untamed, untouched.
I understand that organizations like the IMF and World Bank have made debt slaves of most of the third world by forcing them to privatize everything. What’s funny is this guy preaches the very same economic methods used to create the deforestation of the amazon he says is terribly important to save. To take his word seriously and trust in his clearly one sided perspective is naive. If he actually is an expert than perhaps he’s not ill informed but just lying.
The US still produces far more food than it uses. If the GW fanatics succeed in making the cost of producing that extra food more expensive, there will far less to export to the starving countries and millions will die! That is what Al Gore and his cronies want to do! Control population by killing the vast populations of the third world! Under the guise of GW!
