Mr. Monckton seems to be demonstrating chops as a scientist superior to what the AGW priesthood has been handwaving for the past thirty years.
There is a peculiar stupidity to the insistence that one must hold the equivalent of a union card – academic certification or something similar – in order to follow the plain and very simple (if exacting) constraints of the scientific method .

Ha ha, same thing happened to me in Noosa. About 200-300 got turned away. But I had some interesting conversations with people outside so it was worth it.
