For years, scientists have studied the world’s oceans by sending out ships and divers, deploying data-gathering buoys, and by taking aerial measurements from planes. But one of the better ways to understand oceans is to gain an even broader perspective – the view from space. NASA’s Earth observing satellites do more than just take pictures of our planet. High-tech sensors gather data, including ocean surface temperature, surface winds, sea level, circulation, and even marine life. Information the satellites obtain help us understand the complex interactions driving the world’s oceans today – and gain valuable insight into how the impacts of climate change on oceans might affect us on dry land.

GLS public School had organized this Science & Art and Craft Exhibition named – Atelier on 26th March 2009. It consisted of almost more than 50 models, half of which were made by serior section students (Class 5th to Class 10th) and rest by junior section (class Nursery to Class 4th). It was a full day event which also consisted of eating counters, songs and dance and it went on from 9am to 5pm. Almost 300 guests visited the school campus. The models consisted of Global Warming, Flood Control Dam, Kraal (Zulu Tribe hutments), Religious places of J&K state, Green house effect, Multi-croping, crop rotation, Sattellites launched by India, Computer and its parts, Volcanic Erruption, Mountains and Valley, Civic Ammenities, Wildlife Protection, , etc.
